Kicking off the Azkron devlog: what this studio is, and where it is headed.

Welcome to the Azkron devlog. This is where I write about what I am building, how it is going, and the strange corners of design and code I fall into along the way.

Azkron is a solo studio. That means one person doing the design, the code, the art direction, and the writing you are reading right now. It is slow, it is stubborn, and it is exactly the kind of work I want to be doing.

What I am working on

The current focus is Rogue Collector: a 3D hex-grid tactical roguelike where the procedural Rogues are the loot. You collect them, trade them, and extract them before the dungeon takes everything back. If that sounds like your kind of thing, the alpha is playable on itch.io and there is a Discord where I hang out and share progress.

What this devlog is for

A few things:

  • Progress notes: what shipped, what broke, what I learned.
  • Design writing: the reasoning behind mechanics and systems.
  • Release news: when something is ready for you to play.

No fixed schedule, no filler. If you want the updates without checking back, the newsletter and the RSS feed both work.
